FAQ

How do I return an item?

Items must be returned within 30 days from delivery.

If you need to return a product, use the return documents found in the gray envelope included in the box. 

• Step 1: Repack your items into the original shoebox without any postal labels.

• Step 2: Log in to our returns portal. You will need your order number and email address. The order number can be found in the order confirmation email.

• Step 3: Print your label generated on the portal. The label can also be found in the return confirmation email that you will receive once you have processed your return on the portal. 

• Step 4: Place the prepaid return label on your package. (Please do not stick the prepaid return label on the original shoebox).

• Step 5: Take the package to your nearest collection point

• Step 6: Keep an eye on the tracker for your return. You’ll get an email/text message once we receive your returned item.

You can follow your return within 24 hours using the tracking number here.

Have you received my return?

It takes around 10 business days for us to receive and process your return. As soon as your return is registered and processed at our warehouse, we will refund you the purchase amount and notify you via email. 

We will refund you to the same payment method used when placing your order. The refunded amount will be visible in your bank account within 2-10 business days after receiving a return confirmation via email.

You can track your return parcel here using the tracking number from your return label.

When will I receive my refund?

Can I change or cancel my order?

Once we receive your order, it is processed immediately for quick delivery. When you receive your shipping confirmation, it’s no longer possible to change or cancel your order. Can I track my order?

What are the shipping costs?

All shipping is free, no matter what or how much you buy in our ECCO Online Shop.

What are the return costs?

All return shipping is free of charge. For more information about returns, please see our Return Policy
 

Do you deliver to PO addresses?

We do not deliver to PO box addresses for security reasons.

Do you deliver to my area?

Below is a list with the area exceptions we do not ship to. Please note that we deliver to residential and business addresses only. Unfortunately, we do not deliver to PO boxes.

How do I use my promotional code?

You use a promotional code by typing it in the appropriate box in 'Your basket' before you check out. You will find additional information regarding the promotion in the disclaimer attached to the code.

How do promotion codes affect my right to return an order?

You can return your order within 30 days. If a promotion code was applied to your original order, your refund amount will be adjusted to reflect this. We are not able to re-issue a promotion code.

Where can I find my Invoice?

Your invoice will be attached to the shipping confirmation email titled "Your order has been shipped" as soon as your order has been shipped from our warehouse.

Due to security reasons, we are not allowed to place an order on your behalf. You are more than welcome to contact our Customer Care team to get assistance with your online purchase.

In case of payment by credit card, the full amount of your order is reserved on your account. Payment is debited from your card once the order is shipped.

Do I have to pay customs and import charges?

No. All customs and import charges are included in the price of your order.

How do I sign up for the newsletter?

To keep up to date on new products and the latest offers, you can sign up for our newsletter during checkout by ticking off the appropriate box after choosing your preferred delivery method.

How do I unsubscribe to your newsletter?

Is it safe to order online?

To help ensure that your shopping experience is safe, simple and secure our ECCO Online Shop uses industry standard Secure Socket Layers technology (SSL).

Our ECCO Online Shop supports the Visa/MasterCard 3D Secure protocol. Your connection is always secure with us and encrypted with a 256 bit cipher. And for security reasons, we do not store any payment information in our databases.

If you look at the location (URL) field at the top of the browser during checkout, you will see it begins with ‘https://’ instead of the normal ‘http://’. This indicates that you are in secure mode. 

To ensure your information is kept private, we do not store any payment information in our database.

Can I exchange an item?

You can exchange an article by returning it and then placing a new order in the desired size or colour.

You can either create the order right away or await the refund of your returned order. However, we recommend placing the new order as soon as possible, as we do not have the possibility to reserve goods in our system.

When will my order be delivered?

We aim to ship your products on the same day we receive your order. You can expect to receive your ECCO products within 5-6 business days from the day you place your order.

1            Introduction

 

1.1               The Website is owned and operated by: ECCO Switzerland AG, registration number: CHE-187.038.838, whose registered office is at Rothusstrasse 17, 6331 Hünenberg, Switzerland herein referred to as “ECCO”, "we," "us" and "our"). ECCO’s VAT number is CHE-187.038.838.

1.2               These Sales and Delivery Conditions apply to the purchase and delivery of goods sold on the Website for delivery in Ireland. If you wish to purchase our products and have them delivered in another country, please go to the ECCO website for that particular country (by selecting that country from the drop-down menu available on the Website).

2                   Ordering and purchasing of products

 

2.1               Products

2.1.1           The products we sell online are displayed on this Website and include but are not limited to footwear, bags and shoe care products.

2.2               Purchasing

2.2.1           By placing an order and clicking the button “I order and pay” you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to these Sales and Delivery Conditions.

2.2.2           In order to place an order with us you must be: (i) over 18 years of age; and (ii) possess a valid credit or debit card, or bank account, as specified in point 2.5.

2.2.3           When placing an order you confirm that: (i) all details you provide to us are true and accurate, (ii) you are an authorised user of the credit card, debit card or other payment method used to place your order; and (iii) there are sufficient funds to cover the total purchase price and delivery cost if applicable).

2.3               Acknowledgement of your order and order confirmation

2.3.1           When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order. This email will only be an acknowledgement that we have received your offer to purchase a product and will not constitute acceptance of your order.

2.3.2           A contract between us for sale of the goods will not be formed until your order is ready to be shipped, at which time we will send you an order confirmation e-mail as well as the invoice and shipment information. Therefore, the contract is concluded the moment when we send you an order confirmation e-mail and/or text message.

2.3.3           You accept that all communications regarding the order including order confirmation, invoice, delivery information etc. are sent via e-mail.

2.4               Price and Availability

2.4.1           All prices of the products available on the Website are provided in EUR and include VAT. For some orders you may be liable to pay an additional fee for delivery, and the value of such delivery fee shall be communicated to you prior to placing your order.

2.4.2           All orders are subject to availability and confirmation thereof as there may be rare occasions where it is not possible to fulfil an order (for example, two orders are placed for the exact same product and only one is available to send).

2.4.3           We reserve the right to cancel an order at any time before ECCO accepts the order if it is not possible to deliver the ordered product and ECCO has a reasonable, valid reason for the cancellation. You will be informed if such a situation arises, and any payment or reservation made on your payment card or other means of payment will be returned or cancelled.

2.4.4           We may from time to time offer products which are limited edition (i.e. such products will not be available permanently or long term). This means that if you wish to exchange or raise a valid claim with us regarding such products it will not always be possible to deliver an identical replacement product, in which case we will refund  the purchase price (and the cost of basic rate delivery at the time of the order) to you instead.

2.5               Payment

2.5.1           Information about your chosen payment method must be provided to us when placing an order on the Website.

2.5.2           Upon receiving your order we carry out a standard pre-authorisation check for credit or debit cards and for bank transfer we do a control check. We do this to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction. Products will not be dispatched until this pre-authorisation check or control check has been completed. Your card will be debited once the order has been accepted and we ship your products. For bank transfer your account will be debited as soon as the order has been placed.

·            We accept the following cards: Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard credit and Mastercard debit.

2.5.3           When paying with credit or debit card, the full amount is reserved on your account by us and payment is debited from your card only at the time of dispatch of your products.

·            Your connection is always secure with us and encrypted with 256 bit cipher.

·            ECCO Online Shop is using 3D Secure Visa and Mastercard.

2.5.4           For security reasons, we do not store any payment information in our database.

2.6               Discount Codes

2.6.1           We may from time to time offer promotional discount codes, which may apply in respect of any, or certain specified, purchases made though the Website.

2.6.2           The terms and conditions governing potential use of any discount code will be specified at the time of the campaign.

3                   Delivery

 

3.1               We try to dispatch and deliver to you the ordered goods as soon as possible. Dispatch times may, however, vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or events outside our control. We deliver free of charge within Ireland.

3.2               All products purchased from the Website are delivered pursuant to a shipment agreement. The service providers under the shipment agreement is UPS. Accordingly, the risk of loss and title to such purchased products passes to you upon delivery to you when we deliver to your address unless we have given the purchased products to a carrier commissioned by you. Delivery will be made within 3-5 business days after your order has been accepted by ECCO. The time required for the ordered goods to be delivered to you includes the time necessary to prepare the ordered goods for shipment and the time needed for delivery of the goods by the service provider. If we do not deliver the product as agreed or within 30 days, you can request a new delivery date. You will be entitled to cancel the contract for non-delivery in the event we cannot deliver the product within the new timeframe requested.

4                   ‘Click and Collect’ and ‘Click and Reserve’

 

4.1               You may reserve a product in one of our physical stores by using the ‘Click and Reserve’ option on the Website when that option is visible in the relevant country. You can also use the “Click and Collect” option in which case you are making an online offer to purchase the product and the only difference between “Click and Collect” and the online sales procedure is that for “Click and Collect” you pick up your purchase in the designated store.

4.2               When you reserve a product by using the ‘Click and Reserve’ option or offer to purchase a product using the “Click and Collect” option, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your reservation. This email will only be an acknowledgement that we have received your request to either reserve a product or your offer to purchase and will not constitute acceptance of your reservation/order or an acknowledgement of that we have the ordered product in stock in the chosen physical store.

4.3               When the product(s) you have reserved or offered to purchase is ready for you in the store, we will send you an e-mail stating that your reserved or purchased product is now ready for you in the store. We will reserve your product for 5 days from the date of the e-mail referred to in this point 4.3.

4.4               Please note that, for the reservations, the actual price payable is the price valid at the actual pick-up time. In order to benefit from the discount available at the time when the reservation is made, we kindly ask you to pick-up the order during the campaign period or to finalize the transaction online by placing an order with immediate payment.

5                   Cancellation and returns

 

5.1               You may cancel an order up until the time of dispatch by contacting our Customer Care team (see contact details below under point 10). If we have taken payment the full amount will be returned to you via the original method of payment. This right of cancellation is in addition to your right to a refund set out in points 5.2 – 5.8 below.

5.2               When you shop with us, we want you to be completely satisfied. If you are not satisfied with a purchase made on the Website, you may return the ordered goods at our expense for a refund of the purchase price within 30 days of receiving the goods. On return receipt of the goods, we will arrange for a refund to be made to you within 14 days using the same payment method which you used to buy the product, unless you specify another payment method. You may also cancel any other service which you ordered as part of purchasing the goods

5.3               Any refund made under these Sales and Delivery Conditions shall be a refund of the price paid for the product and (if the product was delivered to you) the cost of basic rate delivery at the time of the order.

5.4               Separately, you can exercise your right of cancellation and return your item to us within 30 days by sending the item to:

5.5               The deadline of 30 days is counted from the date when the ordered goods have been successfully delivered to you.

5.6               Your request to return an item may be sent to us in any form and by any means of correspondence. You may also use the specimen return form attached to these Sales and Delivery Conditions, and we will acknowledge receipt of any return form. You should send the goods within 14 days counted from the date of the request to return those goods. You will be responsible for the costs of returning the item to the address specified at clause 5.4 above, or any other ECCO sales point.

5.7               We will reimburse the purchase price of the returned goods to the original form of payment within 14 days from the date we: (i) receive the returned goods, or (ii) receive evidence from you that you have sent the goods, whichever is earlier. You will be notified via email when this refund has taken place. 

5.8               In order to speed up the return and the reimbursement of the purchase price, you may apply our return procedure: 

 The easiest way to return an item:

Step 1: Repack your items into the original shoebox or other original packaging without any postal labels.

        Step 2: Log in to our returns portal. You will need your order number and email address. The order number can be found in the order confirmation email.

Step 3: Print the label generated on the portal. The label can also be found in the return confirmation email you will receive once you have processed your return on the portal.

        Step 4: Attach the prepaid return label on your box/bag (please do not place the prepaid return label onto the original shoebox or other original packaging).

5.9               Returns may take time

5.9.1           It can take approximately 10 days for us to receive your return to our warehouse.  We strongly encourage you to use our prepaid return label and to keep your receipt as proof of postage.

5.9.2           Your banking institution may require additional days to refund your account once they have received the payment from us.

5.9.3           Please note that if you do not use the provided prepaid return label, you are responsible for loss of, or damage to, the goods until they reach us at the designated return address.

5.9.4           If you do not use the provided prepaid return label to return the goods, you are obliged to cover the direct cost of returning the goods. We are responsible for return shipping costs if we have sent wrong or defective goods to you.

5.9.5           The returned goods should only be used to verify their character, features and functionality. You may try on the products, but you must only handle them as you would in a shop. If you return an item which you have used more than as permitted by this point 5.9.5. we may not refund you.

5.9.6           If you receive a defective or incorrect item or a damaged parcel with missing items, we ask that you provide photographic evidence. Please send a photo to our Customer Care team so we can investigate further (see contact details below under point 10).

5.9.7           We will refund your payment based on your instructions in the return form. We can only issue a refund to the same card used for the original purchase. We do not hold title to the returned products until the item arrives at the designated return address. Alternative returns policies may apply to particular products and product lines, and such policies will be notified to you prior to purchase of any product subject to such policies.

6                   Product warranty and claim handling

 

6.1               We are obliged to deliver to you the ordered goods free of any defects and in conformity with these Sales and Delivery Conditions.

6.2               If the ordered goods are defective, you have the right to:

(a)       request a partial or full refund;

(b)       demand exchange of the defective product for a product free from defects; or

(c)       demand that we remedy the defects.

6.3               Subject to point 6.4, you do not have the right to request a refund if we immediately and without excessive inconvenience exchange the defective product for one free from defects or immediately remedy the defect, at your request or with your agreement.

6.4               Point 6.3 does not apply where the product has already been replaced or repaired by us, or we have not discharged the duty of exchanging the product for one free from defects or remedied the defect when requested to do so by you.

6.5               If it is impossible to remedy the defect and to bring the product to conformity with the contract or it involves disproportionate costs in comparison with providing a replacement, we may replace the defective product for a product free from defects regardless of your request in this respect.

6.6               If you have a complaint regarding the products you have received please contact our Customer Care team (see contact details below under point 10) and they will inform you how to proceed and what information we need in order for us to process your complaint.

6.7               We will confirm the receipt of your complaint and respond to your complaint within 14 days.

6.8               We are responsible for the product defects if they are detected within two years from the date the product was delivered to your address. Your claim for the removal of the defect or replacement of the product sold for one free from defects is limited to one year, counting from the date of detecting the defect; however, the above limitation period may not cease to run before the elapse of the two years period counted from the date of delivery of the product. Your right to claim a refund due to the products’ defects is limited to one year counted from the date of detecting the defect; however, if you have requested replacement of the product for one free from defects or remedy of the defect, the time limit to submit a refund request is paused whilst the product is remedied or replaced.

7                   Personal Information/Privacy Policy

 

7.1               Please refer to our Privacy Policy (which can be viewed here)for details about what information we collect and process about you when handling your orders and about your rights as a data subject.

 

8                   Governing Law and venue

 

8.1               These Sales and Delivery Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, giving effect to its conflicts of law provisions. A printed version of these Sales and Delivery Conditions will be admissible in judicial and administrative proceedings based upon or relating to these Sales and Delivery Conditions to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.

8.2               Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Sales and Delivery Conditions or your purchase of any products from the Website shall be settled by the competent courts of Ireland.

9                   Alternative methods of dispute resolution

 

9.1               Using alternative methods of dispute resolution is voluntary. The below provisions have only informative character and do not constitute any obligation neither for you nor for ECCO.

9.2               If we fail to find a satisfactory solution, you can file a complaint with the Competition and Consumer Protection if conditions are met. You may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution to register your complaint: http://ec.europa.eu/odr . This portal can be relevant when living in another EU-country. Shoe Care

WHY ARE ECCO FOOTWEAR CLEAN AND CARE PRODUCTS SO IMPORTANT?

 

The properties of the footwear clean and care products have been adjusted to take care of and keep the highest quality of materials used in the production of ECCO footwear for as long as possible. A wide range of footwear clean and care products developed by ECCO specialists perfectly cleans and protects the surface of ECCO shoes made of both natural leather and other types of materials.

 

PRINCIPLES OF USING ECCO FOOTWEAR

 

1. You should carefully choose brushes, creams, impregnation products, etc., each type of raw material requires a different product.

 

2. Shoes should be unlaced when putting on and taking off. 

 

3. Accurate lacing of the footwear while wearing it prevents chafing of the feet, premature wear of the linings and deformation of the uppers.

 

4. When putting on shoes, you should use a shoehorn, and when taking them off, remember to undo the belt or buckle and loosen the laces. This way, damage to the back of the upper is avoided.

 

5. As much as possible, please avoid soaking leather shoes. Natural leather is a heterogeneous material, and its natural feature is the ability to absorb and transmit water, which is a property not found in other materials. This, however, comes at the expense of limited resistance to soaking. In order to protect the upper from soaking, it is recommended to use an impregnation product on a regular basis.

 

6. Dry the footwear at room temperature. In order to protect the shoes against deformation, it is recommended to use shoe trees or fill them with paper. Do not use dryers, heaters or other heat sources for drying.

 

7. Footwear should be used in accordance with its intended purpose: e.g. use home slippers at home, sports shoes for sports, etc.

 

8. The footwear should not be machine washed. Cleaning foam is recommended for cleaning both external and internal elements of footwear.

 

9.  Footwear should be ventilated as often as possible. Do not use the same pair of shoes every day. Intensive use of one pair of shoes leads to its premature wear.

 

10. Do not use instant and shine shoe polishes as they can damage the leather.

 

11.Patent leather shoes should not be used in low temperatures.

 

12. In the initial period of use of naturally colored leather footwear, dyeing may occur, so it is better to use darker socks during this period.

 

13. Shoes with leather soles require padding, and the soles are not resistant to moisture and should be treated like uppers.

 

14. Regular replacement of damaged tops, i.e. heels, shoelaces and insoles is the customer's responsibility.

 

15. Taking care of the inside of the footwear, maintaining cleanliness, and replacing the linings is the responsibility of the user. In order to extend the freshness of the inside of the footwear and to ensure a healthy internal micro-environment, it is recommended to use a footwear freshener on a regular basis.

FIND YOUR KID'S SIZE

At the rate children's feet grow, we suggest measuring them every 2-3 months. ECCO shoes follow the natural shape of your child's foot allowing growing toes the right amount of wiggle room.

  1. Have your child stand barefoot on a sheet of paper. The edge of the paper and the back of their heel should be touching the wall.

11                Governing Law and venue

11.1            We provide the services of the Website and App from our offices within Ireland. We make no representation that the content on our Website or App is appropriate, legal or available for use in other locations. These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland without giving effect to its conflicts of law provisions. A printed version of these Terms of Use will be admissible in judicial and administrative proceedings based upon or relating to these Terms of Use to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use, your use of the Website or App or your purchase of any products from the Website or App shall be settled by the competent courts of Ireland.

12.1            Using alternative methods of dispute resolution is voluntary. The below provisions have only informative character and do not constitute any obligation neither for you nor for ECCO.

 

12.2            If we fail to find a satisfactory solution, you can file a complaint with the Competition and Consumer Protection if conditions are met. You may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution to register your complaint: http://ec.europa.eu/odr . This portal can be relevant when living in another EU-country. 13                Remedies for Breach of these Terms by You

 

13.1            Without limiting any other rights or remedies, in the event that ECCO determines, having good reason to do so, that you have breached any portion of these Terms of Use, or have otherwise demonstrated inappropriate conduct, ECCO reserves the right, in particular, to (i) warn you via e-mail that you have violated these Terms of Use; (ii) delete any content provided by you or your agent(s) to the Website or App; (iii) discontinue your access to the Website or App, (iv) notify and/or send content to and/or fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities for further action; and/or (v) any other action which ECCO deems to be appropriate.

13.2            If your ability to access and/or use the Website or App or any other service provided to you by ECCO is discontinued by us hereunder in accordance with these Terms of Use, then you agree that you shall not attempt to re-register with or access the Website or App, any other service provided by ECCO, through use of a different member name or otherwise.

We build our shoes to last, and we are working very hard on finding new ways to improve our products and offer technical innovations that provide a great wearing experience. From time to time, we experience products that don’t live up to our standards of excellence. If you are having issues with your products or your order, we are here to help you.

Claiming shoes bought online

 

If you want to file a claim for a pair of shoes bought online, we need a short description and pictures that show the issue. Please send us an e-mail to: customercare.ie@eu.ecco.com with photos and a short explanation of how the fault occurred.


For shoes, we need the following photos:

 

  • Both shoes photographed from above
  • Both shoes photographed from below (outsoles)
  • Photo of the damaged area/issue

 

Please note that the images must not exceed 5 MB.


As soon as we receive the requested images, we will proceed with your claim. We will keep you informed during the process. 

Claiming shoes bought in a local store

 

If you experience issues with shoes purchased in a local store, please contact the store where the purchased was made or the nearest ECCO store. You can find your closest store here.

Please note that the store staff may require proof of purchase to process your claim.

  

 

If you have received a faulty item

 

If you notice that the products you have just received don’t match your order or have not been delivered in the condition you expected, we need photographic evidence of this.

For shoes, we need the following photos:

Please note that you cannot return products that have been used. Items that show signs of use such as: washing, cleaning, dirt, stains, creases, scratch marks are being returned at sender’s risk and are not subject to an automatic return process.

How to Return

Our products are the result of our passion and craftsmanship. We never compromise on quality and design, and your comfort is our most important consideration. In case you are not satisfied with the product or size you can of course return your order. Here is how:

 

RETURN POLICY

  • Items must be returned within 30 days from delivery.
  • Goods must not be worn, altered, or washed
  • Footwear must include the original shoebox in its original condition without postal labels  

    How do I return items?

 

  • Step 1: Repack your items into the original shoebox without any postal labels.
  • Step 2: Log in to our returns portal. You will need your order number and email address. The order number can be found in the order confirmation email.
  • Step 3: Print your label generated on the portal. The label can also be found in the return confirmation email that you will receive once you have processed your return on the portal. 
  • Step 4: Place the prepaid return label on your package (Please do not stick the prepaid return label on the original shoebox.)
  • Step 6: Keep an eye on the tracker for your return. You’ll get an email/text message once we receive your returned item.

 

READY TO RETURN

 

 

  • Returns may take time

    It can take approximately 10 business days for us to receive your return to our warehouse in Poland. We strongly encourage you to use our prepaid return label included in the parcel and when you return an item, it is important to write down the tracking number of your return label. The tracking number serves as your receipt.

    It is important that you have it in case the return gets lost on the way back to us.

     

    Your refund will be processed in the original form of payment up to 2-10 business days, as soon as we have received your return package in the warehouse. You will be notified via email when this transaction of refund has taken place.

    Your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account once they have received the information from us.

     

    Please note

  • If you do not use the provided prepaid return label you are responsible for the goods until they reach our warehouse.
  • If you receive a defective/wrong item or a damaged parcel with missing items the easiest way is to provide us with photographic evidence of this. Please send a photo to us at customer care so we can investigate further.

At the rate children's feet grow, we suggest measuring them every 2-3 months. ECCO shoes follow the natural shape of your child's foot allowing growing toes the right amount of wiggle room.
